Okay, so there we go, the second part of my Iceland post! Granted, it took a day longer than I said, but that’s just because... I was so busy playing Wurzelimperium! I’m sorry and somewhat ashamed but the game is just so... senseless. And cute. Argh.

At our gistiheimili (guesthouse, but it sounds like the cutest thing ever in Icelandic!) I made two cat friends! That’s one of them! :D




The keyring pendant was a real bone! Maybe because the gistiheimili was named "Graí Hundurinn”? (Grey hound, I guess?)

It’s a volcanic area and you just can walk around there while there’s still steam and stuff. It’s kinda scary...

A nature bath that I found even better than the Blue Lagoon! It was emptier and the atmosphere was better. The light was just so pretty at 10 pm. :)

The Iceland pullover I bought! It was so expensive and now I’m pretty poor... but it was worth it!

Akureyri is just so cute! I like it more than Reykjavík.

Waterfall with a very sad history! "Barnafoss" means "children’s waterfall", named like that because two children drowned there. :(

You know that thing about bad actresses counting instead of saying their lines I mentioned a couple of days ago? Well, I've found out it was a typical method Fellini used, and not just with bad actresses, but with every actor and actress! So if you watch a film directed by Fellini, you'll have a good chance of seeing actors just moving their lips randomly. :P

Apparently he did that because he wanted actors to express emotions using their whole body, not just their words. And if they could do that while counting up to 10, then it meant they were really good.

Naja, im Hochland ist es streng verboten weil die Trolle da noch als Wegbegrenzung gelten und Wanderer oder Fahrer verwirrt werden könnten, wenn plötzlich die Straße weg ist (passiert da ja leider häufig) und wenn man dann den Trollen folgen muss. Und dann isses ja blöd wenn man den Tourietrollen folgt und nicht den offiziellen und völlig vom Weg abkommt.

Aber es gibt einige Flecken in Island, wo es erlaubt ist. Keine Ahnung mehr ob Mývatn dazu gehört.
