Wow, I haven't written an entry in forever!

I don't really know why, I guess I just didn't have anything interesting to say and when I did (Northern lights!), I was too lazy to make a proper entry about it.

I hope nobody deleted me from their friends list yet! I'll really try to be a bit more active again. :) And LJ really is my favourite place on the Internet, so I shouldn't abandon it like that...

So, yeah, I hope everyone has been doing fine. This is just a quick I AM ALIVE post since I think it makes it easier to write a few actual entries later. :) Because even though there hasn't been much happening with me, I'd still like to talk a bit about my Sami classes which I am really enjoying even if I'm a bit too lazy. Other than that life's like always. It's winter so I'm not even going out anymore, just continue being curled up in my room (which I like, haha).
Not even my job calls me to work these days, so I just get lazier and lazier... But no worries, let's hope spring is on its way even though everything here is still covered in more snow than you can imagine! xD

Yeah, so what I've done these past days is: 1) tried to get into Eurovision mood with all the countries choosing their acts! Never too early for Eurovision feelings, I think.
2) watched 5 seasons of Doctor Who, now I'm all caught up, haha. <3
3) tried elk salami for the first time. It is good.

So yeah, living the life! <3 I hope everyone's doing fine. I tried not to abandon my flist too much, but if it came across like that, I'm sorry. Hugs for you all!

This is such a boring time of year :( But I realised last night that it is only 12 weeks till summer. Long, boring summer with nothing to do and nowhere to go...

I'm mostly scared of the summer because I'll have to do an internship and I still haven't properly asked anyone, and the one place I mailed about it didn't reply. Not looking forward to this summer. :( Or the first part of it, maybe I'll go on holiday in the UK later in summer, fingers crossed!

I hope you find something nice to do though. It's just annoying how the question of going anywhere comes down to money most of the time. :(

I haven't asked about anything to do this summer either. Next summer I have to do my fieldwork, and that's not a problem because the uni is hosting a huge dig project but it is so popular and internationally famous, people have been coming from all over the world to work on it this year and it is full u_u Bah.

I think I've just been getting upset at listening to other people talking about going back "home" during the summer, or older people talking about their kids "coming back home" when I can't do that :\

I shouldn't have waited as long with my internship because this summer is pretty much the only time I have left to do it. And even though I know this, I still can't bring myself to actively do anything yet. :|

Yes, I guess that would be sad. :( Sorry about that. <3 I hope your summer will still be nice, and going home is certainly not the only thing to do in summer.

Haha, I don't mind the rain! <3 I mean, I wouldn't be too thrilled if it rained 24/7, but when I was in Ireland a few years back, it rained a bit and the weather was rather cold, but I loved it! The summers in Germany are much too warm anyway!

Is there any sort of internship you really want to do? Do you have to do it in Norway or Germany?

Germany is too warm full-stop XD Berlin in February is very temperate - every time I go I pack a coat but never wear it. A jumper is enough for me ;)

I think I want to do it in Norway, but if I don't start applying soon, I might not get one. :( I can choose where I want to do it. And yeah, I'd like to work in the tourist office, but they're the ones I already mailed and they haven't replied.

No, just too warm in summer, the rest of the time is good. xD I don't think I could go outside in just a jumper in February! You're just too Scottish! xD

It's summer over here, but I've done the same you've done over this time of the year. Well, I hate summmer, so it makes me stay on my bedroom all that time, but I'm happy autumn is coming soon so I'll be active once again :D

I believe the differences are because winter here isn't as cold as norwegian's, while our summers are way hotter. Anyway, I'm glad you're alive and good!

I think a hot summer would be even harder for me to deal with... Whenever the temperature rises over 28°C (in Germany obviously ;)), I just want to stay in as well!

Autumn is my favourite time of the year, so beautiful and perfect weather too! :)

All is fine in my corner and it's good to know that you are okay too. And do you know of any comms for Eurovision-squee here on LJ? I'm kind of off-and-on as a EV fan, but there's always fun to listen in on the gossip about the costumes, scandals, politics and so on.

No, I don't really. I joined eurovision one year or two ago, but it's not really active anymore. :( I guess there's always ohnotheydidnt, but the tone of that comm doesn't sit too well with me so I try to avoid it for things I actually care about, haha.
Fortunately I have a friend here on lj who posts a lot about Eurovision so I can always comment there, haha. I think I might post more too, but often my laziness gets the better of me. If you want have a fun, squee-y Eurovision post in your journal or something, I'll be more than happy to join. ;)
