I'm still in Norway and still find everything to be pretty awesome! :D

Actually, I just made a post to share a silly little thing with you because I need to share this. Because it's awesome.

So, as you know, I live in a student housing complex. (I really like my flatmates btw. :3))

A few days ago we got a note in our hallway (of our flat, I don't even know why the housekeeper is allowed to just wander in?! I find that a bit scary to be honest). The note said that we should please remove our shoes from our hallway (because in a case of emergency and blahblah). Obviously we keep our shoes there and not in our rooms because 1) we don't want to traipse through the flat with our shoes and get dirt everywhere and 2) that would be stupid.
So everyone saw the note and was just like "lol, how about no" and ignoring it. THEN we get another note saying they will remove our shoes and throw them away if we don't do it ourselves. Uhhmmm. Well, whatever. We took them in our rooms, but everybody was just like "whatever, we'll just put them back after they've checked".

But apparently that wasn't enough for Håvard who just taped a not over the note saying something along the lines of "the shoes are not hindering anybody from getting out in a case of emergency, so I don't see the necessity of removal, we will comply, but still think it's stupid. Also, we will put them back in winter, just saying."

And he even signed it. xD I love my flatmates so much. xD

Also, written out it sounds kinda lame, sorry, but it really made me laugh. :3

Are you sure the housekeeper isn't warning you about a Norwegian troll that comes out at night and steals shoes...? XD

I find the whole thing quite funny. Surely the shoes won't get in the way of escaping in an emergency, as you would either put the shoes on, or lift them and put them on when you are outside? The housekeeper should be thankful that you are mindful enough to take your shoes off at the door and not dirty the flat!

No, but he also taped a note to our front door "lock this door after 21:00", maybe that one was for the troll problem. ;)

Our hallway isn't even that small, they're really not in the way. :/ Well, seeing as we have to clean the flat ourselves, the housekeeper probably just doesn't care and wanted to be... correct? Annoying? Our new note asks them to reply WHY exactly they thought we have to remove our shoes, so I'm curious if they'll answer.

Er hat eure Haustür aufgeschlossen und ist dann in die Wohnung gekommen um euch zu verbieten wo ihr euren Kram lagert? O.o
Ich versteh den Sinn nich so ganz, ihr "gefährdet" ja keine Massen von Menschen. Sondern nur euch selbst *lol* xD

Jepp... Es ist einfach sinnlos. Außerdem, was sollen wir im Winter machen? Wenn die Winterschuhe voller Schneematsch und Rollsplit sind?! :/ Oh mann... haben jetzt auch einen neuen Zettel bekommen (über Nacht? Uhhh, irgendwie gruselig...) und da steht eigtl nur drauf "weil es so ist, ätsch". >/

Bitte?! *gasp* Am Arsch der Welt?! Hier ist voll high life am Start! Das strahlende Zentrum Nordskandinaviens, Tor zur Arktis, Paris des Nordens etc. x) Lass dich von der Feindpropaganda nicht beeinflussen. :P Okay, es gibt keine Eisenbahn, aber die brauchen eh nur Loser, wir haben ja einen Flughafen und es sind nur zwei Flugstunden von Oslo! :D

Nur damit das klar ist: man KANN hier durchaus mit dem Auto hinfahren, Straßen gibt es ja. Ungefähr 2500 km Roadtrip durch Norwegen (und Dänemark, nehm ich an xD) ist ja auch spannend, haha! xDDD

Ja, das war unser ursprünglicher Plan. Wir waren nur etwas geschockt dass es dann doch soo weit ist xDD

Also dieses Jahr wird das leider eh nix mehr, wegen Arbeitslosigkeit und so =( Ist ja doch mit Kosten verbunden ... aber du bist ja nach Weihnachten noch wieder ne Weile da xD"

Recht hat er! also Havard! Erinnert mich an unsere Vermieterin in Sunderland die immer einfach ins Haus kam und dann Zettel hinterlassen hat dass wir SOFORT die Küche putzen sollen!

Das ist bis jetzt das einzige, was mich am Studentenwohnheim nervt. Es ist ja wohl nicht deren Problem, wo wir unsnere Schuhe hinstellen? -_- Der neue Zettel à la "tut einfach was wir sagen" nervt auch. :/

Fortunately we can lock our room doors... I mean, I didn't do it (yet?), but it's nice to have the possibility. <3

Awesome! So relieved at least some of my post arrived. <3 When did it arrive? Just asking so I can calculate the time a letter takes, hehe. <3 Already looking forward to it. ♥

Maybe the housekeeper is a troll? Nah, I guess he's just a regular bully. He is probably right about the fire regulations (which I know they are strict about), but it is neither polite nor particularly intelligent to leave instructions like that in a note, as it is a sure way to antagonize the receivers.

You can ask at the student housing office whether he has the right to enter alone, but I think he might under the excuse of fire-entrance-inspection. :/

The good part about it is that it makes you and your flatmates bond right away. Great to hear that you really like them. (And Håvard... is he single? ;)

I also find it kind of unfair because other flats have a shoe rack in their hallway, and we don't, and now it's like we're being "punished" for the sito not issuing us a shoe rack. Hrmph. :/

Yeah, having a common enemy. xD (I think he's together with one of my other flatmates, but I'm not sure, and my quest to find out without asking isn't going too well atm. xD)
