Dearest f-list!

I have a liiiittle request to make...

I am bored out of my mind these days (mainly because I just keep ignoring university and Finnish. I just don't want to study...) and normally when this happens I read, but thing is: I just haven't been able to find a book that really grabs my interest in months. I'm reading this and that and have about 7 books lying around that I began reading, but just haven't found the motivation to finish...

So, I'd be very glad and happy if anyone could rec my some books? I don't really care about genres, I just want something that, well, just grabs you and doesn't let you go. :)

Sooo, anything in mind? What are your favourite books?

I will be gratefull forever for any recs. ♥

Ah, hatte ich noch gar nicht von gehört! :) Scheint lustig zu sein? ;)
Nur noch eine Frage, ist es ein zusammenhängender Roman oder Kurzgeschichten?

Kurzgeschichten. Quasi all ihre gesammelten Urlaubserlebnisse :D

Have you read "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov? It might take a bit getting used to at first, but it is worth it, I promise. I see from your interests that you are not opposed to a bit of epic fantasy. Any good library should have it.

Or you can tell me what you normally read, and perhaps I can recommend you something more fitting to your tastes. :)

I haven't, but (there's a but, haha ;)) my mother read it recently and has it lying around and it does sound pretty awesome. So I hope I don't forget to borrow it next time I'm home! :)

I really do read just about everything and don't mind genres much. :) It's just... maybe I haven't found my favourite genre yet, but I just can't decide which one I like most! :)
So really, if there are any other books you really like, please tell me! :D

If you like dark fantasy, you might like my latest "find": the Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist. He writes horror stories, but it's his "real" people that stays with you for the longest time. His best to date in my view is "Let the Right One In" and "Harbour". :)

Oh, yes, I really like him, too! :D Sadly, I already read all of his books (that were translated to German, my Swedish isn't that good :P). Atm, I'm reading his shortstories ("Im Verborgenen", "Pappersväggar" in Swedish).
Do you, by any chance, know any similar authors? :)

I haven't read that yet, but I will. :)

But no, I don't know many others like Lindqvist. I think I'd rather compare him with the classic horror writers than the rest of the contemporary ones (which sometimes get a tad to mushy for my tastes). But, if you don't mind slash: here's a wonderful original novella called "Masks": http://www.e-fic.com/sundog/ostories/masks.html

It is not very explicit, but sweet without risk of giving you sugar shock and the world it takes place in is a treat in itself.

Oh, thanks a lot! ♥ I think I will read it tonight, with a nice warm cup of tea and pretend it's an autumn-y reading night. (Atm, it's a very cold summer here. :( )

Alles von David Safier. Ich mag seine Bücher grade sehr. Und Tommy Jaud. Leicht, locker, flockig...

Danke. ♥
