I'm still alive!
Mar. 28th, 2011 09:35 pmHey y'all!
I haven written an update, a post or whatever you might call it on here in what feels like AGES! The sad truth is... I don't have anything interesting to say. Or I wouldn't be able to tell them in an interesting way. I just feel so listless and uncreative right now. I hope that stops when uni picks up again.
Norway was nice, and maybe I will post some photos here if I find some nice ones on my camera. :) I actually kind of still want to post pictures from my journey through Estonia, but God knows when I might ever get my lazy ass up to do that.
At the moment I spend my time playing Pokémon White. I quite enjoy it even though in the beginning the animations and stuff made me feel kind of dizzy and nauseated. It's weird...
Oh, haha, and recently a friend came over (we watched Paranormal Activity 2! :D) and I was nearly finished with a gym and I was all "wait, I just have to save!", and she asked "What are you playing?" Me: "Pokémon!". And for some reason it kind of pissed me off that she answered "Oh well, we all have our faults..."
Why is it supposed to be such an aweful thing to enjoy things even though you're not the target demographic. Why haven't people got over "Pokémon?! LOL, are you a 11-year old boy or what?!" yet? I don't know, it just upsets me. :(
And while we're on the subject, know what I enjoy, too? The new My Little Pony show. I loved that shit (the toys) as a kid and now still do. Yeah.
Now, if you excuse me, time for some more escapism.

Date: 2011-03-28 09:11 pm (UTC)1: The games first came out over 10 years ago now. That means that by rights, the original gamers are now in their 20s if it's aimed at 10 year-olds >:( And I have been playing Pokémon since it was first released in the west in 1999!
2: They are not kids games! They are damn violent and have really dark story-lines. Maybe the anime makes it look cute and childish, but the in-game stories are twisted (and usually about the destruction of the world/mankind ruining nature)
My family rip the piss out of me because I get so excited and happy over Pokémon. At least I've stuck with something for a few years short of half my life >:(

Date: 2011-03-28 09:57 pm (UTC)I have played it way back then, too, on a Gameboy from one of my friends, but even my friends back then were making fun of me because "ewww, it's a boy's game!"... God, it has been, what 11 or 12 years now? But even that still pisses me off. >/
But it's cool that you stuck with it so long! I kind of gave it up after Red (yay, peer pressure works!), but just recently with the release of SoulSilver discovered "wait! Fuck people, I can do what I want!". :D
I sound so bitter here...

Date: 2011-03-28 10:05 pm (UTC)I didn't play for a bit when Ruby/Sapphire came out, but it was because I didn't get a Gameboy Advance for ages after release, and I couldn't play them in my GBA. I don't know why I like it so much. It just makes me feel happy and it's escapism to the max

Dann lieber nix schreiben.

Date: 2011-03-29 08:53 pm (UTC)Das Livejournal-Dilemma...

Aww, wenn du dich so drauf freust, such ich gern was raus! :))
