God, that is hard. I’m just so un-special... Okay, let’s see what I can come up with...

1) I like the Grand Prix (Eurovision Song Contest) ridiculously much. I watch it almost religiously. It’s one of the high points of my years. Every year a friend (and sometimes her family), my mother and I get together and make lots of food from the host country. It’s quite a happening. Whenever I tell people how much I like it, they tell me how lame I am. :/

2) I almost exclusively wear skirts. I tried wearing trousers sometime last year, but I just didn’t like it. The only exceptions are walking around home with old man style pyjama trousers.

3) Sometimes I just get really excited about words. When I like how they sound, I try to subtly work them into my coversations. Today it was "jetzt"... it wasn’t very hard. ;)

4) I really like to watch "stupid" TV shows. Sometimes on a meta level, but sometimes just out of fun. For example I don’t think I ever missed a show of "Schlag den Raab". It just reminds me of old times, when I was little and watched the 100.000 Mark Show.

5) I was once really good at table tennis because I went to an after school care thing and we had a phase when we’d play nothing else. :) Sadly, I lost all skill. Dammit.

6) Another "uncool" thing I really like are anthems. Some are just so pretty! Since I never liked the German one all that much I was so happy when I found out Hessen had its own and it was pretty and about nature! Later I discovered some Nazi band had also recorded a version of it, and ever since I feel slightly guilty for liking it which I suppose I shouldn’t...

7) Often Sometimes I think in English. Which I suppose is weird. But I only ever notice it when my brain stumble about thoughts I don’t know the vocabulary to.

OMG, ich liebe dich! :D Ich schau es schon lange nicht mehr für Deutschlands Erfolge. ;) Und jedes Jahr ruf ich brav für meinen Favoriten an, das ist auch das einzige Mal, dass ich bei Telefonvotings teilnehme. :)
Und die Hymnen-Sache beruhigt mich irgendwie. Was ist da so drauf? :) Wir haben grad in Nordeuropäische Kulturgeschichte die Hymnen Skandinaviens, mein innerer Nerd feiert. ;)

Oh, jedenfalls mag ich dich, weil du so nett bist und ich mich in manchen Nerd-Fragen weniger allein fühle. :) Und das scheint zwar oberflächlich, aber ich finde wirklich gut, dass du auf Rechtschreibung inklusive Groß- und Kleinschreibung im Internet achtest.

Ich schau es, weil es Spaß macht mitzufiebern und zu schauen, was die anderen Länder so ins Rennen schicken. Und weil es riesengroße, tolle Schau ist! Das find ich übrigens genial, dass ihr so richtige Parties macht. Bei mir isses leider über so Fähnchen an Käsewürfeln nie hinausgegangen, weil keiner mitmacht. Das Lahm-Problem, ich kenne das. Bestenfalls mein Schatz guckt mit. Immer widerwillig aber dann macht es ihm doch Spaß. Und wenns nur das Lästern ist *lach*
Und anrufen tun wir auch jedes Jahr *g*

Ich finde auch, oft gibt es wirklich schöne Sachenvon den anderen Ländern. :) Letztes Jahr fand ich z.B. Estland großartig. :) Vielleicht musst du einfach der Party-Initiator sein? Ich vermute ja, das "Lahm-Problem" rührt daher, dass Deutschland nicht gewinnt...
Lästern geht ja schon allein wegen des Kommentators sehr gut! Wie heißt er noch schnell? (Der richtige, nicht der letztes Jahr?)

Finnland kriegt einen Smiley? Lieb! :) (Ist ja auch sehr schön, aber ich find die nordeuropäischen Hymnen allgemein sehr hübsch.) Sind die denn gesungen oder nur instrumental? Ich liebe die Europa-Hymne, obwohl ich lange gezwungen wurde, sie auf der Blockflöte zu intonieren... :P Und die DDR-Hymne mag ich auch. Ich find es immer noch irgendwie schade, dass man nicht die Vorschläge berücksichtigt hat, ihre erste Strophe zur Hymne der BRD einfach hinzuzufügen. Der Text ist nämlich doch irgendwie passend...

Sowas sagt die, die mal beim Estlandreiseführerlesen geweint hat, als sie zum ersten Mal von der singenden Revolution gehört hat, sicher nicht. ;)

Ich muss zugeben, als ich noch "jung und dumm" war hab ich mich im Internet auch an nichts gehalten und einfach ohne Rechtschreibung drauflosgetippt... vor allem meine Fähigkeit, Groß- und Kleinschreibung richtig anzuwenden, hat sich lange nicht davon erholt...

Um die wichtigste Frage zu beantworten: Peter Urban heißt der Kommentator. Ich find den großartig und war ganz entsetzt als da letztes Jahr ein anderer moderiert hat.

Letztes Jahr, ich weiss gar nicht mehr. Ich weiss nur, dass ich den Sieger jetzt nicht so dolle fand. Aber das geht mir meist mit den Siegern so. Und die Lieder von denen find ich meist auch nicht so gut.

Genau, Peter Urban! Der is wirklich große Klasse. Letztes Jahr war es ja Tim Frühling... Den fand ich schon im HR nie besonders, naja, er hat sich Mühe gegeben.

Estland hatte dieses (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOsmEO_osXQ) wunderbare Lied. :) Norwegen hatten ja so'n "Teenieschwarm", kein Wunder, dass die gewonnen haben. ;)

Meine Mutter hat die Biografie zum Geburtstag geschenkt bekommen und ich hab auch schon mal reingelesen. :) Finde es allerdings schade, dass die Übersetzung so schlecht sonderbar ist.

Ja, richtig in eineer Gruppe. Später in der 5. Klasse wurden wir dann im Musikunterricht gezwungen, das war gar nicht cool... xD Hätte lieber Klavier gelernt. :)

7) haha. Hab ich auch. Hat dazu geführt, dass ich mal "Pellkartoffeln" und "elterliche Aufsichtspflicht" nachschauen musste (Frag nicht, warum. Meine Gedankengänge sind eine Katastrophe.)) Es waren zwei echt lange Wörter, bei denen ich dachte, dass die deutschen besser und vor allem kürzer sind.

Ah, the movie... Have you seen it? I haven't yet since I'm afraid my image I built ever since I first listened to The Hound of the Baskervilles (when I was nine or ten...) will be crushed! I haven't even been brave wnough yet to pick up the Complete Sherlock Holmes I got for Christmas...
But they can't surely all be as bad?

It was one of the worst films I've seen in years. Not only was it a shit Sherlock Holmes adaptation, but it was just a shit film. Boring, predictable, historically inaccurate and what's worse is that Brad Pitt has been cast as Moriarty in the sequels ;_; Practically everyone posting in the fandom at the moment is going "I haven't read any of the books or seen any other films, so this is based on the RDJ film". Nooooooooooo...

The fact that there are gonna be seguels (esp. ones including Brad Pitt) is both new and annoying to me.

I got my ticket to the cinema bought for me, but I felt so guilty about neither of us enjoying it that I paid it back. There's a new series coming out here in the summer where the characters will be set in our time, so I'm very curious about it as the writers working on it have produced some of my all-time favourite shows but as for the Guy Richie films, well I won't be adding them to my collection u_u If you do see it, don't bother reading the canon before, the film is so simple and dull that you don't need to know anything about Holmes to watch it.

I hope they all fall out of love with Holmes. It a "flavour of the month", I guess. They'll catch onto the next big thing when it rolls around.

Thing is, almost every single adaptation there has ever been of Holmes has been off-canon, so I wasn't that bothered about them ruining it in that film (even though they completely forgot to mention that Watson is a writer and Holmes' biographer), but they messed with historical and physical facts. There's a stupid chase scene where they run from the Houses of Parliament to Tower Bridge. They are almost three miles apart in real life! They also didn't explain why both houses in Parliament were sitting together (you'd NEVER see that unless it was the opening of Parliament, which it obviously wasn't because if it was, the Queen would have been there u_u). Sorry for the rant XD But it breaks my heart!

I'm sure the series will come out on DVD ;) Or it might be shown. I think some of their other work has been shown abroad.
