Wasn't sure if you wanted TV or movie recs. A lot of the old Red Dwarf BBC series are on youtube now. It's the story of the last human 4 million years in the future, rocketing around space on an old mining vehicle (called Red Dwarf) with his companions, a cranky holgram bunkmate, a polite mechanoid butler, a being evolved from the ship's cat and a dotty talking computer. It's from the 90's but the humor holds up well.
