So yeah, you all feared it, begged I wouldn't write it, but what can I say? I just did!

So here's my report of my trip to London. I was only there for four days, but you can accomplish a lot during four days if you run around constantly.

Day 1:

I had to get up to early (5:00 am, meh. -.-) and then drive to Frankfurt Hahn. The online route planning thingy calculated three hours for the drive so we thought "make that for, just in case and we'll be fine". But no, just no. There were THREE traffic jams and well... The check-in counters close 40 minutes before the flight is scheduled to take off and we arrived 35 minutes before. Which really kind of sucked. D: Because I had to beg and draw my secret weapon (crying on command! I yet have to master it completely!) and meh. It just sucked. Fortunately, in the end they allowed us to check in (because the plane was late) so I guess everything went okay... ._.

When we were in Lodon, we just ran around aimlessly and were tired. (And drove with the tube a lot. Which I came to love in the end. Somewhere around the second day.) ;___; One day gone to waste! But maybe not 'cause I wrote postcards! :D

But our hotel was nice. Very kitschy. I loved it! xD

Here, have two picutres of the stairway where I stand around stupidly! :D

treppenhaus 2 treppenhaus

Oh, almost forgot about the weather! >.< In Germany we had to drive through a snow storm to get to the airport, but In London it was nice and about 10°C-ish. And no rain, just clouds. ^-^

Day 2:

The second day was far more productive. So there are more pictures! :D Bet you're all happy now, eh? ;)

Our Hotel was near the Paddington station and quite close to the Hyde Park. So we walked around in it. A lot. I forced my ma to take a photo of me beside a Norwegian stone because I was all "ooooohhh, Norwegian stooooneee. *__*". Which in retrospect is quite silly. xD

norwegian stone

And there were horses! In the Hyde Park! It was so absolutely British, I loved it. :DDD

horses in the hyde park

Then we went to see the "Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain". I think it was a very pretty fountain! :D So much prettier than the one we have on the Königsplatz in Kassel. :)

Here's my ma in front of the fountain:

mama beim brunnen

And that's me looking really pissed of for some reason. o.O

ich angepisst beim brunnen

Then we went on our long journey to find Harrods. It was... long. xD We just have no sense of direction...
I think Harrods is quite... well, big and... really, they just want to show off. ôo And it's so expensive! So I didn't buy anything, just stared at all the decorations and stuff because... wow. (Yes, I'm not very coherent. No, I don't know why either.)

That's the ceiling:

decke

And those are the escalators, well, kind off:

rolltreppe

And we went to the London Eye! :D Which was awesome but boring so I took lots of photos (mostly of myself... ahem...)

Compulsery Big Ben pic:

big ben

London really is big. It looked like this in every direction. o.o

londons big

Im'm not quite sure if you can see it on the pics, but it rained. :/ So, yeah, [livejournal.com profile] flamie_chan, it does rain quite often in England... xD

*coughs* One of those... <.<

me emo me

And the day isn't over yet! :DDD

Dalí exhibition. Which was too expensive so I couldn't go, but still, DALÍ!! <3

dalí

Caffè Nero is awesome. It's like Starbucks only way better. :D But not as good as the Kassler Coffee Store, of course. *winks at [livejournal.com profile] isegrim_chan*

caffè nero
Uhm, I'm sorry, the picture is blurry. o.o

TOWER BRIDGE! :DDD

tower bridge

Also, TOWERBRIDGE AND THUNDERSTORM CLOUDS! Don't the clouds look scary? xD But fortunately it didn't even rain really hard. ^-^

tower bridge 2

And that's probably the most touristic picture I ever took/had taken, but look, IT'S PLAFORM 9 3/4, how couldn't I? My inner HP nerd forced me! xDDD

fake neundreiviertel!

And that's me on the real Platfrom 9 at King's Cross. *g*

real neundreiviertel!

In the evening we went to see "The Moustrap". It's a play by Agatha Christie and the world's longest running play. :D It's in its 56th year. And it's awesome! :D Funny and clever and so very British. The story and the way it's told is kinda like "8 Femmes" or "Murder by Death" which I love, so this play is maybe my favourite one. I like it even better than "Fahrenheit 451". And that's something. :D
If you ever get the chance to see it, you should. :)

mousetrap

So that wraps up day two. :)

[Isn't it crazy how long this report is getting?! And it's two more days to go! I'll try to say less from now on. ^^;]

Day 3:

We went to Notting Hill (and yes, it was jst because of the movie...) and my mother tried to find the house where Hugh Grant lived in. Sadly, we didn't find it. But we found the house George Orwell lived in! :D

george orwell house

And then we visited the Portobello Market (where Hugh Grant went every day and the seasons changes or something... my mother insisted... o.o). It was nice and I bought awesome socks! Striped ones and one pair of those only geeks and old men wear. They're beyond awesome. <333

Again we walked around Hyde Park, this time to see Speaker's Corner. Unfortunately there weren't any speakers but there were lots of squirrels! <3 And I took a lot of squirrel photos. :D

squirell

For some reasons I took a picture of my shoes. Um, random much?

my shoes

ZOMG, FLEET STREET! I WAS THERE AND I WASN'T SPAZZY AT ALL!!

fleet street

And aside from all the OMGSWEENEYTODD-ishness, it's a really nice street. Sadly not very Sweeney Todd at all. :P

Another random thing: We drove to the Angel Station only because it has London's longest escalator (27 metres) and, yes, it's long. (And so very cool! xD We really just where there for the escalator, didn't even leave the station...)

längste rolltreppe XD

... Madame Tussaud's is so funny. And OF COURSE I took lots of pictures, me and my ma and all these celebrities? It was fun! xD

Me and Albert Einstein! xDDD~

ich und albert!

Angie! xDDD I couldn't resist... xDDD

ich und angela

Nicolas Cage. Yay~. :D I like most of his movies. :)

ich und nicolas cage

And I assure you, there are a lot more pics where these came from. Madame Tussaud's = fun!

Who lived in the Baker Street? Sherlock Holmes lived in the Baker Street! :D

sherlock holmes

In the evening we went to see the Lion King musical. (Where taking photos wasn't allowed and I forget to take on of the Lyceum Theatre.) And it was nice. Pretty colours and generally just very pretty to look at. I liked the songs that were already in the Disney film and I guess the extra songs were okay, too. But call me a nerd, it still couldn't compare to Cats in terms of awesomeness! ...I watched Cats three times so I'd know!

What a nice way to end day three, eh? :D

And the weather was nice and mostly rainfree, btw. ;)

Day 4:

Being touristic in London undoubtedly involves watching the change of guards at Buckingham Palace. So we did! :D

buckingham palace

And we went to Covent Garden (again, we also did on the first day) where I bought this awesome patchwork skirt! <3

chinatown

Chinatown was also quite cool even if we didn't have time to buy anything 'cause we had to get on train on 5:00 pm in order to catch our flight. (London Stansted isn't really London, just like Frankfurt Hahn isn't really Frankfurt. -_-)

And if you wondered, [livejournal.com profile] flamie_chan there was sun AND rain on the fourth day! xD

In between all this stuff we also went shopping. But I forgot when. But I bought more nerd socks and a pretty blue skirt! And a top! And cookies! Yay, cookies!! :DDD And an Oxford University t-shirt. *coughs*

Phew, so this is it. I warned you the report would be huge, didn't I? And it is... God, it really is.

So, okay, I'm finished. Hope you thought it was... interesting or something. ;)

Totally different subject: Hey, [livejournal.com profile] seelentherapie, remember that fic I promised you for Christmas? The one you propbably thought would never be written? IT IS! I FINISHED IT! :D I just have to proofread it and have it beta'd a little and then I'll finally post it. Hope it still makes you happy or something even if it is *very* belated. ^^;

ETA: In case you wonder why I am on most of these pics, my ma and I have a rule that says we try never to take photos without a person we know (in this case us) 'cause then they'll get boring. People on photos help keeping them interesting. We think.

What a way to kick off the trip. D:

B-but hey, the hotel looks very cozy! I love the design of the staircase. And the carpeting seems very smooth. I adore fuzzy carpets. 8D

AND OOOH~ Horses~ *0* I friggin' love horses, although riding them can be so uncomfortable.

Agatha Christie? Seriously? I love her books, but I didn't know that she had done a play. ♥ *so wants to see it* Was it a murder/mystery play?

The Lion King musical was a very beautiful piece. I remember so many pretty browns, oranges, and yellows on the stage. Everyone wore such nice costumes. *g* It's been years since I last saw it, but I remember seeing it a couple of times.

And with Cats, I only saw it once. :D Great stuff, great stuff. I was quite little when I watched it. The part I remember the clearest was when the really big cat came into the crowd to give me the rose he was holding! XD I was so shocked and happy!

THANK YOU FOR THE WEATHER REPORT. :DDD I totally appreciate it, and I'm glad that it isn't as rainy/damp in London as I had suspected.

Oh, very cool, it seems you had a good time! It is really a great city ... and so big ... I remember I was spending most of my time in record stores, there are so many, and I was not at Madame Tussaud's, what a shame ...

I did. :D I wish I can go there again. ^-^

Yeah, that really sucked! D:

I adore carpets, too. xD We don't have any in our flat so I'm always "Ohhhh, carpets! <3" when I see some. xDDD

Agatha Christie is just ingenious. <3 Yes, it was. It was about people staying at a guest house and being cut off by snow. Then murder happens~. It's an awesome play. :D It takes place in only one room, but it instantly grabs your attention. :)

I just saw it for the first time, but Lion King was (besides Aristocats) my favourite Disney film, so probably I'd have loved it even if it was strange. ^^;

I saw Cats the first time when I was 4 and ever since I just love it. xD When I was younger I wore a Cats costume to carnival every year. xD

YOU'RE QUITE WELCOME! :D I was glad as well. ;D

Okay, yeah, I think Europe is pretty awesome as well, and I'm very glad I live here. xD Oh, but while history is nice it can also kind of suck 'cause it builds huge prejudices against countries/people. :/
