Money makes the world go roooouuund...
Jul. 3rd, 2007 11:29 pmHnnn, I'm wondering if I should take next year's course for the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English... for the C1 level... it sounds kinda tough if you read the definition:
Proficient User: C1 Effective Operational Proficiency
Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise
implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without
much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and
effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear,
well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of
organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
I think I could do it and cope with all the "stress" it would be, but hmmm...
Basically the CAE is just testing your communicating skills and that surely doesn't sound all that difficult, but if you mess up the final exam (which will be taken in Mainz) you paid about 200 € for nothing. :/
Should I really try it? I bet in the end I'll be too lazy and don't do anything. But if you make this exam you can study in England without taking any qualifcation tests... Hmmm, tough decision.
And I took an online test what my common reference level is. It's B2-C1. Or something like that... would have scored as C1 if I hadn't been in a hurry... ;)

Not that I'm trying to influence you or anything, but that's just what I think and since you asked... ;)

Thanks for that. :)
