Please, oh fabulous F-List, will you give me some advice?

So, uhm, I like thinking about my future, mainly because there's no school in it which is plain awesome, but also because I have so many possibilities that it might just make me go insane...

At least I've already decided what I want to study (and believe me that took a long time of being unsure and then panic about it), but now I have to face a new "problem"...

As you might know (or not) I want to study Northern European Studies ("Skandinavistik"/"Nordistik"/"Nordische Philologie") and the city where I'd love to do just that is of course Berlin. :) The only thing which could stop me is that the Humboldt Uni has an "NC" for it (which is relatively rare...) and it could be too high for me. So there is the first thing I think about a lot of the time and can't quite make a decision. Which city should I choose to live in if I can't go to Berlin. Here are my possibilities:

* Basel
* Bonn
* Erlangen
* Frankfurt am Main
* Freiburg
* Göttingen
* Greifswald
* Kiel
* Köln
* München
* Münster
* Tübingen
* Wien
* Zürich

So, uhm, any advice? Any suggestions? Anything you know that could help me decide? Pretty please? Bitte bitte? S'il te plaît?


And the second thing, if I can go to the HU (which would simply be fantastic! *hopes*), I have to decide which languages I want to learn. If I'm very lucky and get the "Monobachelor" course of studies, I can choose:

Norwegian or Swedish or Danish

and

Icelandic or Finnish.

I'm quite sure I'd choose Finnish over Icelandic, but I just can't decide whether to learn Norwegian or Swedish. Any ideas? Even if it's just to tell me that Danish is much better than anything, I'd be very glad. :)

So, that's it, I'd appreciate it a lot if you told me your opinion on the cities and/or on the languages. Please and thanks. :)


ETA: Aaaand, another thing my brain just decided to think about: What should I choose as my "Beifach", Philosophy, European Ethnology or Cultural Studies?
